Description
The performances, part of the Percursos pela Arquitetura project, are the creations of the young creators of FOCAR – Choreography-Oriented Training for Architecture, promoted by Instável - Centro Coreográfico.
The space will not only influence the bodies, but will also be influenced by them. The result is three site-specific performances characterized by a symbiotic exchange between space and body.

Performance “The House Beneath The House - where the red breaks and the black rocks”
In today’s geopolitical climate, the world appears to be burning once again, rendering the strategies and forces of power increasingly visible. At the same time, forms of collective resistance are becoming ever more palpable, surfacing just beneath the skin of dominant power structures. Situated at this critical geopolitical moment, and using the two-story architecture of the Galeria da Biodiversidade as its site, the choreographer imagines a house within a house: an underground heterotopia of collective forces existing beneath the above-ground reality of systemic power. Within this architectural metaphor, age-old questions are posed anew: How does strategy manipulate our bodies? How far does its reach extend? Does it shape not only visible bodies but also those that remain unseen within dominant systems of power? And how are tactics of resistance cultivated beneath the surface? Are they still centralized, or do they operate through shifting relationships between centralization and decentralization?

Performance “The funeral of an unbroken egg”
The anticipation of the bird of peace and the fear of never seeing it collide with the fear of losing one’s own memories and identity, giving rise to an uncanny genetic memory of collapse that transforms hope into the fear of facing the true future.
